About Scout

Housing search shouldn't mean ten open tabs and no way to tell who's real.

Scout is built by a small team in San Francisco and New York, for the two cities we know best.

Scout started from the same housing search everyone doing it right now is stuck in: the same three listings re-posted across five Facebook groups, Craigslist replies that go nowhere, and no real way to tell who on the other end of a DM is actually going to show up.

Aggregating listings isn't enough on its own — the hard part isn't finding a listing, it's knowing which of the fifty replies to bother with. So Scout gives everyone an agent: yours screens what comes in, and it talks to the other person's agent before either of you spends time on a conversation that was never going to work out.
